Remeron is an antidepressant drug prescribed for treating major depression symptoms like sad mood, feelings of hopelessness, guilt, and worthlessness, loss of interest in life activities, excess or lack of sleep, fatigue, changes in appetite, and thoughts of death and/or suicide. The drug is available in form of tablets for oral administration. Remeron tablets are to be swallowed with water. The usually prescribed dose is 15 mg daily as a single dose, preferably taken before going to bed in the evening. People who have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (also used for treating depression) should not take Remeron. Prior to taking Remeron, patients also need to tell their physician if they have been suffering from liver disorders, heart diseases (blood pressure and heart attack included), manic-depressive disorder, epilepsy, or seizures. Pregnant and breastfeeding women also need to consult a doctor before taking Remeron pills. Possible Remeron side effects include allergic reactions, seizures, abnormal heartbeat, fever, chills, flu-like symptoms, sore throat, and sores in the mouth or nose. Other less serious effects may also occur. In case of any unusual effects, the use of Remeron should be discontinued and medical help called as soon as possible. If the patient misses a dose of Remeron and remembers soon, it can be taken. However 2 doses must not be taken together, or in brief succession, in order to make up for a missed dose. Remeron should be stored at a temperature range of 20°- 25° C (68°- 77° F), preferably away from strong or direct light. Internet users can easily order Remeron online by searching for ‘Remeron online’. A single search yields results that lead to online pharmacy stores where both branded and generic Remeron can be purchased.
